The short version
- Bus: a direct service from the terminals, followed by the journey from your stop to the address.
- Train: connect via Nice Saint-Augustin; useful for avoiding road congestion, but allow for changes.
- Taxi or pre-booked chauffeur: travel to a specific address. Compare the fare, vehicle and pickup arrangements, not a promise of speed.

Line 80: direct public transport, but choose the right stop
The current route is Line 80, although older guides may still call it 110. The operator lists a €21.40 standard single, a €0.40 supplement for purchase from the driver and a mini-group option for 3–9 travellers from €45. Check the applicable group offer before multiplying individual tickets.
This may work well if your hotel is close to a stop and the timetable suits you. Leave room between landing, collecting bags and boarding. The final walk or local connection belongs in your journey plan too.
Use Nice Saint-Augustin, not automatically Nice-Ville
Nice Saint-Augustin is the nearby railway connection. The airport states that tram lines 2 and B are free between the terminals and Grand Arénas; follow the pedestrian route to the station. That free connection does not make the onward TER ticket to Monaco free.
Search Nice Saint-Augustin → Monaco-Monte-Carlo for your date on SNCF Connect or TER Sud. Train time excludes leaving the terminal, waiting and reaching the hotel. Check disruption notices and the last suitable departure before relying on rail for a late arrival.

The airport's official page lists a 2026 reference fare of €95 to Monaco excluding supplements, with taxi ranks at entrance A3 of both terminals. Confirm the conditions for your ride. This is not our price.
Azur Private Driver lists the transfer from €115 in a premium sedan or €150 in a Mercedes V-Class. The final quote depends on your request. Booking ahead is about agreeing the vehicle, meeting point and conditions before arrival, not claiming that a car can bypass all traffic.

Our route page gives a road-time estimate of 35–45 minutes, depending on traffic and the address. It is not a guaranteed time measured from landing. Add disembarkation, any checks, luggage reclaim and meeting your chauffeur.
For public transport, include the connection and final leg too. Keep four times separate: scheduled landing, actually leaving the terminal, transport departure and your required arrival. For an appointment or return flight, work backwards from the real deadline with an appropriate buffer.
Arrange local travel during your Monaco stayFamilies and groups: count the bags as well as the people
A car suitable for three passengers with cabin bags may not suit three passengers with large suitcases and a pushchair. Send the number and size of bags, plus any special equipment. Vehicle capacity and requested child seats need confirmation; neither should be assumed from a photo.
For a group, obtain the applicable bus group fare and a complete vehicle quote before deciding. Door-to-door transport may simplify the trip, but is not automatically cheaper. Equally, a low ticket price says little about the practical effort of carrying luggage through several changes.

Late arrivals, events and the return journey
Check what actually runs on your travel date. When arranging a private transfer, share your flight number and ask how delays, waiting and address changes are handled. Flight monitoring does not mean unlimited free waiting.
During the Grand Prix or Monaco Yacht Show, agree an accessible meeting point and allow for any walk required by event arrangements. For the return, give the terminal, flight time and airline's required airport-arrival deadline. An outbound transfer does not automatically reserve the return.
- Pickup, full destination address and date.
- Flight, timing and a reachable traveller after landing.
- Passengers, checked bags, cabin bags and equipment.
- Final fare, waiting, payment and amendment terms.
Practical questions
Is there a train station inside Nice Airport terminal?
No. The rail connection is via Nice Saint-Augustin. You first reach the station from the terminal, then take a service calling at Monaco-Monte-Carlo.
Which option is cheapest for a family?
It depends on travellers, discounts, group tickets and onward travel. Compare the actual bus or train basket with the vehicle quote, making sure passengers and luggage fit together.
Is a private transfer always faster?
No. Cars still face traffic. Their advantage can be the agreed pickup and journey to your address; rail can be useful when roads are congested.
