Three decisions before you land

  • Choose Cannes station when it suits your address; do not confuse it with Cannes-la-Bocca.
  • Line 81 connects the terminals with Cannes; check the particular departure and ticket you intend to use.
  • A booked car can simplify an arrival with luggage, but compare its quote and conditions with taxis and public transport.

Line 81: choose the departure and ticket together

The ZOU! timetable valid from June 2026 lists €21.40 for an agency, online or SMS single ticket and €21.80 sold on board. The airport instructs passengers at Terminal 1 to buy before boarding, so prepare the ticket according to your departure point.

At Terminal 2, the airport lists bay 2 for Cannes. Check signs and your chosen departure rather than relying on an old timetable screenshot. The route document also includes an evening journey via Antibes: not every departure should be treated as the same non-stop ride.

Rail: start with the Nice Saint-Augustin connection

Tram lines 2 and B provide a free link from the terminals to Grand Arénas, followed by the route to Nice Saint-Augustin station. The train to Cannes needs a separate ticket. Use that departure station rather than a vague search for “Nice” that may send you to Nice-Ville.

Select your date on SNCF Connect and check that the train calls at Cannes. Count terminal exit, platform access, waiting, rail travel and the walk to the hotel. A short train ride is not a practical connection if it leaves too little time after your flight.

An €85 taxi reference and a private quote are different offers

The airport's 2026 table lists €85 for a fixed-fare ride to Cannes. Ask about the conditions for your journey and a vehicle that fits your group. This taxi reference is not a quoted price for a private chauffeur service.

Our starting references are €105 for a sedan and €140 for a van on a one-way daytime ride. The quote confirms availability, passengers, luggage and pickup. The lowest price is not automatically the right choice, but a premium service should explain what is actually agreed rather than invent included benefits.

Hotel, Croisette or Palais: settle the last leg

Send the full address and, for a congress, the location of your first appointment. A hotel entrance, a Palais entrance and a Croisette restaurant are not interchangeable. With luggage, decide whether to visit your accommodation before the meeting.

For the Film Festival, MIPIM or Cannes Lions, ask your host about access and an authorised meeting point. Transport does not supply accreditation or private admission. The Film Festival also publishes participant travel information: review the available options before buying an additional service.

Plan chauffeur travel during Cannes events

A late landing needs a different plan

Do not compare landing time with the last bus departure as though you will leave the terminal immediately. Checks, baggage reclaim and a delayed flight can remove the connection you expected. Check the useful departure on your travel day and identify a fallback.

Our usual road estimate of 30–40 minutes is not a promise during an event or traffic jam. Share any firm arrival deadline when requesting a quote. Confirm the agreed waiting period, how a delay is handled and the contact to reach after landing.

Arrange local travel in Cannes

Send luggage, team and return details together

List passengers, checked suitcases, cabin bags, pushchairs and business equipment separately. A team carrying demonstration cases has different needs from a couple on a weekend break. Confirm the vehicle and requested equipment instead of assuming that seat count establishes luggage capacity.

For the return to Nice Airport, provide the terminal and your intended airport arrival time based on airline instructions. Include any additional passengers or pickup addresses. Booking an arrival does not reserve the car throughout your stay or automatically book a return.

  • Flight, terminal and a reachable phone.
  • Destination, date and any fixed arrival deadline.
  • Passengers, luggage and special requirements for confirmation.
  • Return, stops and waiting, with written quote and conditions.

Practical questions

Does Line 81 stop at my hotel door?

Its timetable lists arrival at Cannes railway station, not a personalised stop for every hotel. Check the onward journey to your address.

Must I go to Nice-Ville for a train to Cannes?

Not automatically. Nice Saint-Augustin is the nearby airport connection. Search the full itinerary for your date and terminal.

Can I keep the chauffeur during the congress?

Yes, when hourly hire is requested and confirmed. An airport transfer alone does not include hours of waiting or the day's other journeys.
