Three confirmations that matter

  • A vehicle suited to every traveller, including children and babies, and the actual luggage.
  • Suitable child equipment requested and confirmed when needed, including any conditions or extra charge.
  • An agreed meeting point and fare for arrival, with the return expressly booked if required.

These situations help frame an enquiry, not guarantee capacity or equipment. Confirm the actual available vehicle and configuration for your trip.

When should you book a family transfer?

Send an enquiry once dates, destination and your group are known. This leaves time to check the vehicle and special requirements. It is particularly useful with a pushchair, child equipment or travel during Riviera events and busy periods.

There is no magic deadline here that guarantees availability: asking early still needs a confirmation. Say if your flight is not final or luggage may change. Have the final arrangements accepted before treating the transfer as organised.

    Plan a Nice Airport transfer

Describe the bags rather than simply asking for a large boot

Count checked suitcases, cabin cases and smaller bags separately. Add a pushchair, travel cot, sports gear or other equipment, with folded dimensions when bulky. A vehicle photograph or seat count does not establish a universal luggage capacity.

The same group may need a different configuration for a weekend and for several weeks away. A sedan is not ruled out for every family, and a van does not automatically fit every load. Ask for confirmation covering people and bags together.

    Compare fleet options

Request the child restraint and wait for confirmation

For travel in France, Service Public describes a general rule requiring an appropriate approved child restraint for children under ten, with exceptions. Check the official source for your situation. This guide does not replace the rules applying to the journey or the seat manufacturer’s instructions.

Give the number of children and the information needed to select equipment, including age, height and weight when relevant. Tell us if you bring your own seat so compatibility and arrangements can be checked. Requesting a seat does not establish that it is available, free or reserved until those points are confirmed.

Allow time to actually leave the terminal

Landing time is not when the whole family is ready at the meeting point. Bags, a separately returned pushchair or formalities may take time. Provide the flight number and keep a contact reachable so the chauffeur can be told if exiting the terminal takes longer.

Agree the meeting point according to your terminal and access arrangements. The airport describes self-service pushchairs in the restricted departures area; these are not equipment supplied for your car journey. Consult its family guide for facilities at the airport.

Plan backwards from when you need to reach the airport

Nice Airport recommends arriving two hours before short- or medium-haul departures and at least three hours before long-haul flights. Also check your airline’s check-in deadline and instructions: those reference times do not guarantee boarding in every situation.

Then add travel from your accommodation, an appropriate traffic buffer and time to gather everyone and the luggage. Supply the pickup address, terminal and return flight. If you move hotels during the stay, update pickup rather than automatically reusing the arrival address.

Keep this checklist for your journey

Put the six details below together in your enquiry. For an initial quote, locations, times, travellers and transport requirements are enough to start. Do not send passport copies or children’s documents when they are not needed at this stage.

The “child seat confirmed” box is a reminder to obtain agreement when that equipment is needed. This list proves neither that the vehicle contains it nor that a booking has been accepted. Your quote and confirmation remain the reference for travel arrangements.

    • Flight and travel date.
    • Pickup address and exact destination.
    • Number of adults and children, including babies.
    • Luggage, pushchair and other equipment.
    • Suitable child seat confirmed if needed.
    • Requested return and agreed waiting conditions.

    Practical questions

Does the number of seats tell me how many large suitcases fit?

No. Passengers, child seats, pushchair and bags must be considered together. Send the actual loading list for confirmation against the proposed vehicle.

Is a child seat automatically included?

No. Request the appropriate restraint and confirm availability, conditions and any extra charge before booking. A van photograph does not establish that it contains a child seat.

Does flight tracking mean unlimited free waiting?

No. It helps arrange pickup, but waiting and changes follow the agreed conditions. Let us know when the flight or terminal exit takes longer.

Is the return included with the arrival enquiry?

Only when it has been requested and confirmed. Provide its own date, flight, address and timing; a one-way ride does not automatically reserve the return.
